Hardwood Saw Log Prices and Specifications
Hardwood lengths 8′6″ – 16′6″, except Bass/Aspen 8′8″ and 17′6″ only.
Red Oak preferred logs lengths are 8′6″, 9′6″, and 12′6″.
Maple heart spec 1/3 heart max, except Soft Maple #2 is ½ heart max.
Standard deductions for sweep, rot, etc. will be taken.
Hardwood logs not meeting specs are paid at $80/m or culled.
We are now buying all species and grades of hardwood saw logs.

Directions to Rockingham yard From I-91, Exit 6, follow Route 103 North to Rockingham for 2 miles. Right at Transport Park truck stop. Left at bottom of entrance, straight around building to log yard in the back.
Directions to Castleton VT yard Route 4 to Exit 5 Castleton. Come to Stop Sign, take Left onto Rte 4A (East). Travel approximately 1.6 miles, to metal gates on Right.
Directions to Newport NH yard From Claremont NH: NH Route 11/103 East to Newport NH. Yard is located at 627 John Stark Highway on the left (formerly the ED Bessey & Son log yard).
Hours The gate is open all the time. We are at the yard scaling logs Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm and by chance on weekends.
Sign in each load. If delivering logs when the yard is unattended, group logs by species if possible, turn tips. Mark ends with vendor’s name. Pile logs, sign in each load.
Payment Checks will be mailed by the Friday after logs are scaled, unless other arrangements are made.
